Venerable Margaret Sinclair and Edinburgh

Each year many followers of the Venerable Margaret Sinclair (Sotland's only candidate for canonisation) come to Edinburgh to show their devotion and love; this year was no different.

Bus loads of people from many parts of Scotand gathered for the afternoon of pilgrimage.ven margaret sinclair 3

Cardinal O'Brien, Sr Patricia and Bishop Cunningham offer their prayers

at Margaret's tomb.

It seems fitting that the Redemptorists are currently known as

"Guardians of the Shrine"

as it was a Redemptorist Father who 'saved' her vocation the night she

entered the Poor Clare Convent in London!

Here is a clip of the First Minister speaking
of the Catholic Church, on the occasion of

and the official welcome of the Pope to Scotland.

You will see a familiar face,
(our Fr Kieran Brady C.Ss.R.from St. Patrick's)
and then a shot of some of St Pats
young people bringing the cross up the hill.

Then at the end a nice shot of both Lillian and Sarah
from St Pat's Seekers Group.

New approaches in the London Province

A Presentation given by Fr James McManus to the assembly.

The changing face of the parish mission

The style and the format of parish missions in our Province have changed dramatically in the past thirty years. Missions used to last at least two intensive weeks during which the Redemptorists would visit every home in the parish and invite everyone personally to come to the mission.
