330th Anniversary of St Alphonsus' birth...
Today, 330 years ago, was born
Alphonsus Maria Anthony John Cosmas Damian Michael Gaspard
de'Liguori
Here with his mother, Anna Cavalieri holding him, as his father looks on,
as St Francesco De Geronimo proclaimed
“This child will live to a very old age; he won’t die before his nineties. He will be a bishop and a saint and will do great things for Jesus Christ”.
St Francesco de Geronimo and St Alphonsus
were canonised in Rome on the same day!
May 26, 1839 by Pope Gregory XVI.
