The staff and pupils, present and from other generations, were joined by many well wishers as they celebrated mass to mark education's sesquicentenary!

Archbishop Peter Smith, Archbishop of Southwark and also a boy who was educated in Clapham.

Just announced from the Vatican...
Father Antonio De Luca C.Ss.R. of the Province of Naples was named Bishop of the Diocese of Teggiano-Policastro, Italy by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI.
Bishop elect De Luca was born on 1st Juy 1956 in Torre del Greco, near Naples, Italy.He was professed a Redemptorist on 29th September 1973, made final profession on 29th September 1977 and was ordained a priest on 5th July 1981.
Over the years Fr De Luca served the Province of Naples in the initial formation of candidates and preached missions. He was the provincial of the Province of Naples from 1999 - 2008.

John Jukes OFM Conv., RIP
Bishop John Jukes OFM Conv., RIP...
The Right Reverend John Jukes OFM Conv., titular bishop of Strathearn and emeritus auxiliary bishop in Southwark, died peacefully at his home in Huntly, Scotland on the morning of Monday 21st November 2011, aged 88 years.
When the Redemptorists studied in Canterbury, Bishop John was around in his role as a Greyfriar and then as auxiliary bishop for Kent.
He was in the 65th year of his religious life,
and the 59th year of his priesthood
having been a Bishop for 31 years.
