Rededicating and Blessing of CSsR Steeple in Clapham...
Last Sunday's celebration were slightly special as we gathered together outside near the end of the mass to hold a special ceremony. The Blessing and Rededication of the Spire (built in 1850) was an opportunity to thank God for this fine landmark. It was an opportunity to say "thank you" to the parishioners who gave of their time, money and prayer to support the whole project.
The Redemptorist community was well represented as all wanted to join in the celebrations. As the photos also show a huge crowd from the parish were also there, giving praise to God for the wonder of our spire.
This photograph does no justice to the spire and its lofty height - it can be seen for miles around.
