General Assembly of the Order of the Redemptoristine Nuns (OSsR)...
These days, the General Assembly of the Order of the Redemptoristine Nuns (OSsR) is taking place in Tuchów, Poland, with delegates coming from all over the world.

During the first days of the Assembly, the participants elected and approved the appointments of the officials, listened to the presentation on the state of the Order by Sr. Magdalena Schuman, and began discussions on amendments to the Constitutions in order to align them with the documents on monastic life Vultum Dei Quaerere and Cor Orans. Canon lawyer Fr. Andrea Kukla CSsR also offered further clarifications regarding the texts. The work is being carried out “with great commitment and a sense of responsibility.”

Each day of the Assembly is accompanied by the celebration of the Eucharist. In his homily on Friday, Fr. Patrice Nyanda CSsR reminded the participants that the mission of a nun does not begin with visible activity, but with communion with Christ:
“A nun who prays, adores, intercedes, welcomes her sisters in charity, and remains faithful in small things truly becomes missionary, because she makes the love of Christ present in the heart of the world.”

On Saturday, Fr. Dariusz Paszyński CSsR, Superior of the Warsaw Province, expressed the gratitude of the Redemptorists to the Nuns:
“Every time I visit the Redemptoristine Sisters — in Bielsko-Biała, Petropavlovsk in Kazakhstan, or Lviv in Ukraine — I experience that Christ is present among you. Continue to cultivate this presence! It is greatly needed in today’s world.”
The Assembly will continue until May 22, during the period of the Pentecost novena.
