Pagani, January 23, 2017, Cardinal Joseph William Tobin, Metropolitan Archbishop of the Diocese of Newark and a native of Detroit, paid a visit to the Basilica of St. Alphonsus in Pagani; the welcome given by both the local population and the religious and civil institutions of the place was extraordinary.
