Blessed M. Celeste Crostarosa, our Mother,

keep us under your mantle and let your motto be realised in our lives too:

"For me life is Christ" (Phil 1:21).

"To you we entrust all our Communities, that they may be Cenacles of prayer, clear signs of the presence of Jesus, places of communion, joyfully living our first rule of union and mutual charity.

You, Divine Loving Word, want me to enter into Your Heart and in it no longer think of myself, but of the salvation of souls, so loved by You, especially those in my community...

That I love them in Thee and Thee in them, and strive for their spiritual good."

Cf. Blessed M. C. Crostarosa

Redemptorist Units of Northwestern Europe closer to the federation

The Redemptorists of Northwestern Europe form four administrative units (provinces) so far. There is a province for Ireland (Dublin), a province for Great Britain (London), a province for Northern Germany, the Netherlands, Flanders and Switzerland together (St. Clement) and finally, a province for the Southern part of Germany and Austria together (Vienna-Munich).

These provinces have been talking to each other for quite some time with the aim of establishing a federation. This is happening in the context of the reconfiguration movement in the Congregation. The future of apostolic life, of mission and of the living presence of our charism in North-West Europe is the leading principle. Structures are a means to this end.

250 Years Foundation of CSsR Church and House at Scifelli...

Italy

The 23rd of April 2023 marked the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Redemptorist Church dedicated to Our Lady of Good Counsel and the Community at Scifelli in Italy. The event was celebrated with the Eucharist presided over by Fr. Francesco Z. Stanula, CSsR, the Vicar General of the Congregation who invited the people to look back at the past with gratitude for the presence of the Redemptorists among them for 250 years and to now look forward with hope in the Risen Lord’s presence amongst them despite the anxieties and challenges of life. Just as the Risen Lord accompanied the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, the Risen Lord will always accompany his disciples, now the people of Scifelli into the future. The celebration was well attended with the presence of Fr Serafino Fiore, the Provincial of the Province of Naples, Fr Antonio Cirulli, the Provincial of the Province of Rome, Fr Johannes Römelt, the Conference Coordinator of Europe, Fr Joseph Ivel Mendanha, General Consultor, Fr Vicente Soria Fleitas, Economo General, Fr Giani Congiu, the Rector of San Alfonso in Rome and with a few confreres from the Roman province and the community of Frosinone.

Prayers for the Coronation of King Charles III...

king charles and pope francis

From Wednesday 3 May until Friday 5 May, the Bishops of England and Wales encourage Catholics in our lands to pray for His Majesty and the Queen.

The coronation of King Charles III will take place on Saturday 6th May 2023 in Westminster Abbey. This will be the first coronation for 70 years in our countries; indeed, the first since our late Queen, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, entered the ancient church as a young woman to take on the awesome responsibilities of monarchy. In his first address to our countries after the death of the Queen, His Majesty stated, in the context of the late Queen's unwavering service, "that promise of lifelong service I renew to you all today."

The Cardinal said "As we look towards the Coronation Day, which will be marked with joy and celebration across our nations and the Commonwealth, let us commend King Charles and Queen Camilla to our Heavenly Father, that he may sustain them in their duties all the days of their lives."
