On this solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, these words from the second reading at the Eucharist remind us that this feast is not only about Mary. It is about all of us chosen by God in Christ ‘to live through love in his presence’. Under this title of the Immaculate Conception, Mary reminds all Redemptorist missionaries of God’s copiosa redemptio. We marvel at what God can do with and in our human nature. With Mary, we magnify the Lord and our spirits rejoice.

Ace of Clubs Christmas Film...

The Ace of Clubs is a family-like community providing transformative support for those who are homeless, vulnerable and otherwise marginalised in our area. The Ace of Clubs was started many years ago by our Redemptorist confreres and it continues to this day. Now there is a very good and committed lay management team, while the Redemptorists remain the Trustees of the whole operation.

Here is a documentary about the work of the Ace of Clubs, in South London. To use one of their quotes,

Launch of Freddie Freckles and the Sacraments

Thursday 20th November saw the launch of Fr. Tim's new book Freddie Freckles and the Sacraments. He had written the stories during the previous years 'With You Always' Sacramental Preparation. "With you always" is the Sacramental programme in the Archdiocese of Liverpool.

There were four launch events during the day, one each at the Parish Schools for Bishop Eton and St. Mary's Woolton (Much Woolton), one in the Fisher-More Hall at Bishop Eton and a final event at the Pauline Book and Media Centre in Liverpool
