Fr Bernard Kavanagh CSsR, Army chaplain during WWI.
He died on this day in 1917,
shot by a Turkish sniper on the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem.
His name can be found engraved in Westminster Cathedral - among other places.
May he and all the War Dead rest in peace!
